Double Cast Iron Boiling Ring
I've been looking for a powerful burner to cook outdoors. I was really pleased to find this cast iron model. It's strong and sturdy, so good for cooking large heavy pans. I connect mine to a propane patio gas cylinder, that I use with my gas BBQ, so I needed to purchase a hose, clips and gas regulator to fit. The burners are powerful and give out plenty of heat, when cooking. It is heavy, so it's good to have a strong level surface to cook on. We used a paving slab on a raised surface. I only gave the burner a 4 star rating, as the instructions that came with it could have been a little clearer. You need to attach the gas assembly, when it arrives. There are holes between the cast iron unit and the gas jets, which are designed to allow air to mix with the gas during intake. The gas doesn't leak out. We weren't aware of this, but a quick phone to the supplier and they clarified this.
Very Sturdy - Really pleased with this hob - ive had quite a few hobs and some of the cheaper ones have legs that bolt on - and generally these fall off - this is great also for small pans as, again, some of the hobs have large gaps in the hob area that won't hold small pans as they fall through the gap! This is a great hob :-)
